Most people
want simple ways to remedy their
health concerns long before they
require expensive or risky
procedures, or costly
pharmaceuticals with side
effects and unacceptable risks.
Few people realize ancient
health methods provided
effective results, often as
simple as minor changes in foods consumed. Armagh Ireland had
the world's first hospital,
constructed by Queen Macha 2650
years ago, many centuries
before hospitals existed
elsewhere, to apply health
remedies and therapies they knew
worked.
So We Want Medicinal Teas,
Seeds, Salves, Elixirs, Poultice
Ingredients, Lotions and Potions

used as folk medicines,
particularly by Traditional
Healers or Shamans to replicate
the product uses from that
ancient time to present.
Not
surprisingly some Traditional Healers have
expressed concerns of not wanting their knowledge
exploited by big pharma without
benefits coming back to them or
their community.
Protecting folk knowledge unduly
provides no financial return to
anyone, yet the sale of properly
prepared and packaged products
will benefit those producing the
product. Withholding help from
others in need is selfish. A
simple way to solve the problem is to
share the knowledge and products
widely so the least expensive
products and most effective
therapies gain the biggest
financial share. Those in the 'know' grow
and harvest the product to benefit. The best presented
first products in the
marketplace often become best known.
Some who
think the solution is in
protecting the knowledge via
patents and intellectual
properties have been infected by
a legal system that makes money
from 'defending' your rights,
not always successfully, while
others are benefitting from the
knowledge and making related
products available. It's worth
noting, Elias Howe, the man who
invented the sewing machine as a
result of his dreams, profitted
little from it while
Isaac Singer after stealing his
idea and exploiting it, did.
Howe took Singer to court
however the US judicial system
favored the person who made it
commercially viable by awarding Howe a mere
$5 per machine. He died soon
after, broken financially and in
spirit by a judicial system he
thought would protect his
patent, which it did, just
barely.
Also, few plants
are so unique that no other
plant or variety has that
medicinal property or it is not
growing somewhere else too. Like
prophecies, health care answers
shown via dreams were to be
shared, not treated as
proprietary. Those
answers are for the benefit of
all and sharing the answers is
the best way of showing the
Creator offers Living help and
advice.
Simple remedies such as a
component in willow bark, used
frequently and known by the
term, aspirin, is just one such
remedy that traces its origins
to ethnobotanicals. Its use is shared
both locally and commercially.
The most expedient, the aspirin pill, is
used most often. Now it's made
by many companies who compete to
keep it affordable for people
too busy to obtain willow bark
and brew it.
In the USA alone $286.5 billion
was spent on pharmaceuticals in
2007. Medicinal plant sales,
with the help of shamans and
their knowledge of plants, can
help lift impoverished peoples
into far more productive lives
with a fraction of that revenue.
Medicinal plant use is popular
in Western nations. It
pales in comparison to China’s
million+ tonnes of medicinal
plants used a year.
Herbal products and an approach
to their discovery and
application are still in use,
often in isolated parts of the
world. God-given knowledge may
die with a person who has it, yet
the Source which first supplied
that information can supply it
to anyone in a situation where
it is needed. It is up to us to
keep record and reapply that
knowledge in similar situations
for everyone's health benefits.
That part is within the mandate
of
www.inntherapy.com to keep
those records.
The Gran Canaria Declaration of 2000 states the urgency for a plant
conservation program. It has
support in 150 countries. No
economic impetus went with it,
such as we are advocating nor
anything significant since
then, even though the World
Health Organization stated that
80% of the world relies on
plants for their primary health
care. It also stated that up to
2/3 of the known 320,000+
vascular plants could be at risk
due to being “threatened
by population growth,
deforestation, habitat loss,
destructive development, over
consumption of resources, the
spread of alien invasive species
and agricultural expansion.
Further loss of plant diversity
is predicted through genetic
erosion and narrowing of the
genetic basis of many species.”
The solution therefore is not in
academia, or governments even if
they are cooperative and
supportive; it is in a
cooperative business working
hand in hand with people
motivated to remedy the problem
who see the potential for
financial gain in one area to
offset the expenses in another.
Plants at risk can be propagated and/or moved to other favorable
locations to minimize the risk
of loss. What pays for this?
People needing the plant or its
products. Bureaucrats and
politicians are sadly
remiss in extending a hand
especially when it comes to
spending tax monies and when less
than half of them see a
connection to what is urgently
needed or think other matters
have a higher priority. So our
program is designed to solve
life-form and environmental
concerns with minimal, largely
non-monetary support from
government, parliament or big
business concerns.
Our interests include ancient
food crops especially ones grown
in extreme conditions of
drought, frost and salt
tolerance. We also want coffee
and tea grown at higher
elevations, and cacao. As foods they may not have
the same appeal or apparent
value as medicinal plants,
however they are important. Some
ancient plants are relevant to more extreme weather
conditions due during the next
two decades, or are desirable
market items.
Cooperatives:
To obtain those medicines we
can work with anyone, however
due to requiring reliability,
quality of product knowledge and
cautions plus reliable service
and communication we will lean
heavily towards corporate
entities to supply products,
such as based community
cooperatives participating in
shared responsibilities and
ecological (reserve) projects or
similar non-profit beneficial efforts. That
way the work does not all fall
on one or two people who in turn
often do not share the profits
or benefits or it only goes into
the
trader's pockets. Where
'you' is mentioned below,
consider this to be your team or
co-op as well as Traditional
Healers, Shamans etc.
Proof:
Next we want you to prove
yourself, reliability and
competency. Preceding any proof
of a medicinal plant is a diagnosis so an ailment can
be determined prior to its being
treated. This applies to
medicinal or therapeutic
solutions, not ones based on
stimulations of the mind to act
in the body's own best
interests. Folk remedies passed
down from a relative aren't
enough unless you have proof,
such as a following of people
who accept that this remedy
works or you can show it does.
If the remedy is one 'shown' to
you, we require if possible that you
articulate in writing what was shown. We
grade your proof so anyone
else needing health remedies
can, by the number level
assigned to it, know the
likelihood of success by using
it. This rating will also
reflect in the subsequent sales
of your remedy or health product. It can be
changed by performance and
results.
If your remedy includes the
use of plants you must be able
to identify the plants to us,
(as several pictures of each
plant, flowers, leaves, roots,
seeds etc) their name, habitat, and if
possible their botanical name.
To
supply the seeds, teas etc. we
have three main options:
1. You harvest, clean,
prepare and package the product
and ship or mail them from your
location according to the
buyer's order (this way may be
pricy and/or slow and not always
reliable or timely in delivery
and transfer of funds not always
easy unless you have a Paypal
account.) If you choose this
option find what you can send in
weight so it remains within the
first or second level of postal
cost (most seed pkgs will be .05
- 5 grams). Surface mail is
often too slow even if you are
on the same continent. OR,
2. You harvest, clean,
prepare and send the products to
us. We warehouse them and
fulfill orders that you get from
buyers. (You get the price you
want on what sells, we dropship;
meaning we warehouse, possibly
package, fulfill the order and
ship for you). This is the best
way for most products to start.
OR,
3. You harvest, clean,
prepare and ship the seeds or
ingredients to us. We package,
store and mail them to buyers.
They remain your product until
they sell. (This option may not
be possible for some teas, and a
few seeds so we need to know
your products and ingredients
from samples, as to their
quality etc beforehand, like
from the preceding option.) You
will be identified on the
envelope as the supplier either
directly or indirectly along
with other relevant information,
and an accompanying instruction
sheet. Supply levels should be
kept to 90 days to one year
maximum. Once your product is
proven we can pay you for it on
receipt.
Canada, where
our first warehouses are
located, has restrictions
devised and advocated largely by
'special interests' then imposed
by our representative
parliament, without the majority
consent of voters as to the loss
of their sovereign rights and
personal responsibilities for
their own health. This
abolishment or prohibition by
over-regulating herbal remedies,
by claiming safety concerns or
possible abuses by a few, has
been done in a manner depriving
adults of their right to choose.
As a result of imposed
regulations some plant based
products, extracts and
combinations cannot be imported
here. We
will not knowingly violate our
laws or regulations even if they
are unfair, unjust or imposed
without majority informed
consent. 'Prohibition' laws
imposed by lawmakers can be
modified by parliament or struck
down if it is the will of the
majority or by the judiciary.
Prohibition does
not work.
Standards:
Your packaging must meet
basic sanitary standards,
labeled (bilingual as a minimum
and must include one or more of
the six languages the UN uses
officially; English, French,
Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and Arabic, as to what it is, its
use and an invoice accompany it.
We will need to know what that
amount is (and average seed count)
or how many treatments with
'tea' or other remedy that are
required, and how long the
product will last before its
effects or germination are
unacceptably low.
This also means germination must
be high on seeds! (You must
test them to ensure they are
90+% or state what the expected
germination is on the date it
was tested). Buyers rate your
product quality, communication
and overall service/reliability.
If you choose option 1 you will
need a small digital scale for
some products where count
is less relevant or too
difficult. Scales can be
purchased online for under $10.
You will also have to comply
with export/import regulations,
and be able to prove you are
ecologically and environmentally
sound in your practices (ie.
organic, no agricultural chemicals). Once
you set up a supply line of
products from medicinal,
tree and flower seeds, bark,
dried flowers, leaves, medicinal
teas, potions and poultices
(with printed application
instructions) etc we can set you
up to sell on
buyorsell.it. Seeds
etc must be from healthy plants
free of diseases, including
salmonella (most common in
decaying vegetation, fruits and
pods), fungi, bacteria, or
molds, unless those usually
undesirable inclusions are
specifically noted, in advance,
to be required or included in
the product.
Those inclusions might include
penicillin bacterium found in
about 80 varieties of blue
cheese, aspergillus in some soy
products, fungus in tempeh,
oncom, or quorn; bacterial and
lactobacillus leavening in some
breads and yoghurt, or medicinal
mushrooms with anti-viral,
anti-cancer or anti-bacterial
properties.
All seed and health products
must be harvested fresh, clean
and of a quality consistently
very good to excellent.
Proper harvesting of plant
materials is required so no
excessive or deteriorated
amounts of active ingredients
are present, or secondary
ingredients, including insects
or evidence of unsanitary
exposure such as E. coli and
other contaminants.
Payment:
Buyorsell.it pays you. It
provides payment either by
cheque, monthly bank transfer,
Paypal, or failing those options
via an accumulation of credit on
buyorsell.it which can be used
on any other product for sale on
buyorsell.it, associated co-ops or on shipping. You
will need a bank account if you
are transferring funds or postal
service which can take Canadian
money orders, however please
note sending money between some
nations is pricy, more than it's
worth for small amounts. In the future in
some circumstances it may
be possible to add funds to a
renewable prepaid Visa or Mastercard credit card, however we have yet
to find one that has acceptable
rates and is usable in any
country.
To
reduce the transaction fees to
third world nations we offer
another option, that we pay
tuition fees for students your
community or cooperative picks
as suitable recipients up to the
amount accumulated to be used
for higher education in your nation.
For monies left on deposit we
will provide 7% more for
students choosing educations
leading to international
employment; ie in sciences,
engineering, computer and
technology related areas, health
and related technologies,
agriculture/aquaculture,
construction; or business or
cooperative management, or
democracy and human rights
related studies leading to
leadership positions within your
own nation. If your area of
study interest is close but not
mentioned please enquire to
rxteas @buyorsell.it. See also
desirable employee areas for
immigration to Canada,
UK,
Australia. Similar areas of
employment are found in several
other nations.
Buyorsell.it will soon be adding
appropriate technology products
and instructions so product
providers can choose to trade
their credit for what they need
to best help either their
supplying cooperative or
community from co-ops in your
nation or will include
items listed on buyorsell.it. Please
note: the mailing/shipping
charges for items on
buyorsell.it may be much more than
the cost of the heavier items so
look for suppliers close to your
location whenever possible. At
least you will have a way to pay
for it wherever you are,
not just in the more advantaged
nations.
If trading for credit works for
you we recommend making a list
of products your team or co-op
needs so we can in turn look for
situations where we can
aggregate orders to buy larger
quantities of products desired
or needed. That way everyone
benefits from increased volumes
and diminished prices by shorter
times of having to warehouse the
products. We'll make a list, and
leave spaces to add items then
refine it, from items you are
seeking to obtain, such as
building materials, pumps,
tanks, pipe, motors, farm
equipment, wind and solar power
products etc.
